About Justine Romano, LICSW

Justine began her social work career at Boston Medical Center, providing clinical services in both pediatric and adult settings. During that time, she also served on the BMC Child Protection Team where she provided case consultation and clinical supervision.

Justine spent 5 years as the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Social Worker at MGH prior to her current role on the Child Protection Team. She also works on the Pediatric Palliative Care team and has been recognized as a Clinical Scholar.

In addition to her work at MGH, Justine teaches ‘Psychosocial Dimensions of Health and Medical Care Practice,’ a final year required course at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. She also facilitates a weekly support group for survivors of domestic violence through the Melrose Alliance Against Violence (MAAV).
