Katie is originally from Westchester NY. She received her undergraduate degree from Union College where she received a BS in Biology, she went on to obtain a second undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in Nursing. She moved to the Boston area after graduation and began her career at MGH in 2000. She quickly began her masters program at Northeastern University and graduated with an MSN and became a certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. She's been working in the department of pediatrics at MGH in their Neonatal ICU since. Katie lives outside of Boston with her husband, an engineer, and their three children, a daughter, twin sons and their cocker spaniel.
