About Zhonghui Luo, MD, PhD
As a member of both the Cornea Service and the Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cataract Consultation Service, Dr. Katie Luo expertly manages a variety of common eye problems. Her practice focuses on complex cataract surgeries, premium cataract surgeries, and ocular graft vs. host disease.
As a clinician scientist, Dr. Luo is focuses her research on ocular graft vs. host disease and cataracts.
In addition to her clinical and research responsibilities, Dr. Luo teaches and mentors medical students, resident, and fellows at HMS. She also directs the global community service Project Gafas.
Throughout her career, Dr. Luo has been honored with numerous awards and scholarships. She enjoys patient education, patient empowerment and is loved by her patients.

Dr. Luo performs clinic research in oGvHD and cataracts. She is one of the core ophthalmology teaching faculty at Mass. Eye and Ear. She also directs Project Gafas, an international humanitarian outreach program at Mass. Eye and Ear.
