About Kristin Hung, MD

Dr. Kristin Hung is board-certified in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS). She is an attending Urogynecologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Hung evaluates and treats patients with pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, focusing on both surgical and conservative approaches to meet an individual’s goals.  For patients who choose surgery, she specializes in minimally invasive surgical approaches, including vaginal surgery, traditional laparoscopy, and robotically assisted laparoscopic surgeries.  Dr. Hung sees patients at MGH Boston and MGH West in Waltham and performs surgery at MGH Boston, MGH North, MGH West, and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. 

She completed fellowship in URPS at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA) and residency in OB/GYN at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, MA).  She obtained her medical degree from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI) and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College (Cambridge, MA) with a Bachelors in History and Science.  Dr. Hung is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society and serves on its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.  Her research interests include recurrent urinary tract infections and utilization of shared decision-making tools to improve patient care and outcomes.
