About Jennifer Lo, MD, PhD

Jennifer Lo, MD, PhD, is an Instructor in Dermatology at Harvard Medical School, a board-certified dermatologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and a researcher at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard with joint affiliation at the Cutaneous Biology Research Center of Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Lo graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College. She received her medical degree (MD) and PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard Medical School. After internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, she completed her dermatology residency at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program.

Dr. Lo’s clinical interests include general dermatology and cutaneous oncology, with specialization in pigmented lesions, melanoma, and high risk skin cancers. Her molecular and translational research focuses on skin cancer biology and application of spatial transcriptomics technologies to understand interactions between skin cancers and immune cells, with the goal of developing novel cancer therapeutics. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed primary research articles, reviews, and book chapters and has presented her work at the Society for Investigative Dermatology and Society for Melanoma Research conferences.
