About Anderson Chen, MD

Dr. Anderson Chen is a faculty member at the Geriatric Psychiatry Department at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He received his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He completed his residency training at Harvard South Shore, and fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at Mass General Brigham, Harvard Medical School. He is board certified in the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Resident of the Year Award from his residency, and he is noted for exceptional academic performance, leadership, and commitment to the field from his fellowship training program. He was a member of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry Scholars Program, and a recipient of the Harvard Medical School Livingston Research Fellowship Award.  During Dr. Chen’s PGY4 year he served as one of the Chief Residents of Geriatric Psychiatry at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He has given lectures related to dementia care both in regional and national conferences. His primary research interest includes evidence-based psychopharmacology for older adults, dementia care, and virtual care in older adults.
