About Jodian Pinkney, MD, MBBS

Dr. Pinkney is an Infectious Disease Physician at MGH and a Member of the MGH Mycobacterial Center care team, which provides multidisciplinary care to patients living with complex mycobacterial diseases including non-tuberculous mycobacteria, tuberculosis and Hansen's disease.

Dr. Pinkney completed her MBBS and DM at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, after which she served as the Clinical Coordinator for the Center for HIV/AIDS, Research and Education Services (an urban specialized clinic serving the third largest cohort of people living with HIV in Jamaica). She subsequently completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of South Carolina prior to joining the MGH/BWH Infectious Diseases (ID) fellowship program in 2020. She is broadly interested policies and interventions that advance the equitable distribution and uptake of ID-related preventive health measures among reproductive-aged women, including HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and maternal vaccines. She is also interested in strategies to improve trust and strengthen relationships between healthcare providers and the patients and communities they serve. During her ID fellowship, she completed the Program in Clinical Effectiveness summer program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH). In 2024, she completed the MPH-45 program in Health Policy with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health at the HSPH and the Harvard University Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Minority Health Policy.
