About Danita Y.  Sanborn, MD

Dr. Sanborn holds board certifications in Cardiovascular Disease from the ABIM as well as Comprehensive Certification in Echocardiography from the NBE. Her clinical interests include echocardiography and general clinical cardiology. Her research interests include refining the role of echocardiography as a tool to better understand uncommon cardiomyopathies including Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. She managed the Echo Core Lab for the Multidisciplinary Study of ARVC and participated on the consensus writing panel that proposed Modifications of the original Task Force Criteria for the diagnosis of ARVC. Danita has served on numerous hospital committees, including most recently the MGPO Executive Committee and the MGH General Executive Committee, and nationally currently serves as the Chair of the CME Committee for the American Society of Echocardiography. She currently holds the administrative and teaching role in MGH’s Cardiology Fellowship an Associate Program Director and the Medical Director of the Paul Dudley White Associates fellows’ practice.
