Charles Vanderburg is a Senior Research Scientist at the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

Dr. Vanderburg previously served as instructor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, Assistant Neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions.

Dr. Vanderburg also served as the director of the Harvard NeuroDiscovery Center’s Advanced Tissue Resource Core (ATRC) at Massachusetts General Hospital. The ATRC has banked over 2,000 postmortem brains and serves as a molecular and anatomic neuropathology resource to Boston’s research community. For over fifteen years, he had had an opportunity to work closely with many hundreds of neuroscientists in the academic and biomedical research community

In 2017 and again in 2018, Dr. Vanderburg then traveled to Manila and Roxas City on the Island of Panay on behalf of the Collaborative Center for XDP to share his expertise in neuropathology.
