Two exceptional employees were honored with this year’s Ricardo Diaz Memorial Award during the celebration, recognizing the hard work, selflessness and compassion reflective of Diaz’s.
The MGH Virtual Visits Team was honored with the 2020 Nathaniel Bowditch Prize for its quick and innovative work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
David N. Louis, MD, and Robert H. Young, MD, have received the 2020 Patricia R. Austen, RN, MGH History Award. The award honors individuals or groups who have worked to promote or preserve Mass General history.
Not only were two MGHers honored with the annual Ernesto Gonzalez Award for Outstanding Services to the Hispanic Community, but one standout group was given the honorific name, “The Ernesto Gonzalez Service.”
The MGH Center for Diversity and Inclusion virtually celebrated the graduation of 46 underrepresented residents and fellows in medicine on June 5. The 2020 graduating class included residents and fellows from 14 different departments.
In preparation for the upcoming Triennial Survey by The Joint Commission, the hospital has invited The Joint Commission to conduct a two-day consultative mock survey on March 3 and March 4.
