The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rated Mass General 5/5 stars for hospital quality. The ratings compare hospital performance on approximately 60 quality and patient safety metrics to the national average and create an overall score.
The American Nurses Credentialing Center awarded Mass General the highest honor available for nursing excellence, making Mass General the first hospital in Massachusetts to achieve Magnet status.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation recognized Mass General for its commitment to delivering equitable and inclusive care to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) patients and their families.
DiversityInc in 2018 named Mass General to its list of Top Hospitals and Health Systems. Organizations recognized in the list demonstrate best practices in employee resource group participation, manager participation in cross-cultural mentoring, diversity goals tied to executive compensation and educating and mentoring diverse suppliers.
