Youth Zone Participation Benefits

Participation in an after-school program has been proven to contribute to positive outcomes for students during childhood and adolescence. Out-of-school time is a critical window where youth may engage in risky or unsafe activities. In response to a need for a fun and safe place to go after school, the Youth Zone provides a variety of enrichment programming for youth ages 9–17 in the Revere community.

Activities

  • Academic support
  • Recreational activities
  • Educational field trips
  • Culinary lessons
  • Opportunities to socialize
  • Athletics
  • Arts and crafts
  • February Vacation Camp
  • April Vacation Camp
  • 6-week Summer Camp

In all of these activities, Youth Zone members are encouraged to consider the ways they can make a positive impact in their community. We offer a unique Peer Leaders program for those ages 13 and up to engage in community service projects, serve as role models to younger members and participate in special events. We value the input of our families and always encourage them to contribute to our Youth Zone community.
