About Cornelia Griggs, MD
Cornelia Griggs is a pediatric surgeon, critical care specialist and assistant professor in surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard Medical School. Dr. Griggs serves as the surgical lead of the Pediatric Weight Center at MGB. She is a health services researcher with a focus on childhood obesity. Her previously published work covers urgent public health crises including racial and socioeconomic disparities in surgical outcomes and access to weight loss surgery for children and adolescents. As an experienced minimally invasive surgeon, Dr. Griggs has a clinical focus in new surgical technologies, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic innovation, machine learning, AI, and surgical education.
