The MGH Blood Donor Center has two mobile units. Completely self-sufficent, our bloodmobiles can host blood drives at your company, organization, or place of worship. Your organization does not need to provide inside space, tables, chairs, or any other assistance the day of the drive.

MGH Bloodmobiles are state of the art, completely self-contained and self-supporting 40-foot long buses. Inside are two soundproof medical history booths, four blood donation beds and a refreshment area. Each bloodmobile is staffed with a nurse, phlebotomists, and a driver.

Each MGH Bloodmobile collects an average of 56 units of blood during a six-hour time frame. In using the bloodmobile, we limit the total donation time to just 30 minutes per person. Refreshments are provided for all donors, and in select months our bloodmobile may take part in MGH Blood Donor Center promotions, raffles, and t-shirt giveaways.
