Genetic testing for cancer risk assessment was first offered in 1996 for a limited number of genes. Many people have heard of the BRCA genes, but cancer genetics has changed significantly since 1996. In this Massachusetts General Hospital Blum Center presentation from June 29, 2022, Stephanie Hicks, MS, CGC, discusses the role of genetic testing in the cancer setting and how it has evolved over time.

This program is a collaboration between the Maxwell & Eleanor Blum Patient and Family Learning Center and Mass General Cancer Center.
