Dr. Daniel Haber, Director of the Mass General Cancer Center, was among the 84 new members and 21 foreign associates elected to the National Academy of Sciences today in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research.
Dr. Haber is the director of the Mass General Cancer Center and is the Isselbacher/Schwartz professor of oncology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Haber’s laboratory interests have focused on the area of cancer genetics, including the etiology of the pediatric kidney cancer Wilms tumor and genetic predisposition to breast cancer.
