Research in the Laboratory of Cellular & Molecular Radiation Oncology is directed towards advancing understanding of molecular mechanisms of action of ionizing radiation with the overall goal of applying that new knowledge to improve radiotherapy of cancer through development of novel targets or approaches and to elucidate new approaches to prevent radiation-induced cancer.
We are also committed to teaching students at the graduate and post-graduate levels as well as radiation oncology residents in basic concepts of radiation and cancer biology and the proper conduct of basic radiation research.
