Care During COVID-19
Our dedicated physicians, nurses and staff are committed to providing the best possible care for children. We have taken unprecedented steps to ensure office visits and procedures are welcoming and safe. Your child’s health and safety is our top priority.
Patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas benefit from the collective expertise of a multidisciplinary team at Mass General for Children that includes:
- Pediatric oncologists
- Orthopedic oncologists
- Pediatric radiation oncologists
- Pathologists with expertise in sarcomas
- Physical therapists
- Radiologists who specialize in muscular-skeletal disease
Massachusetts General Hospital pioneered the first limb-sparing procedures for patients with these malignancies. Through our close, longstanding collaboration with the Mass General Cancer Center’s orthopaedic oncology surgeons, we have extensive experience providing this option to our pediatric patients, with excellent results. For patients whose tumors are not amenable to surgery, we offer state of the art radiation treatments, including proton beam radiotherapy at Mass General’s Francis H. Burr Proton Therapy Center.
