About This Program

Overview

The Massachusetts General Hospital Dental Group, the clinical component of the Mass General Division of Dentistry, provides comprehensive dental care for healthy and medically compromised children. It is our goal to maintain or restore children's teeth and overall oral health to maximum comfort, function and esthetics. As part of Mass General for Children, we are unique in that we are trained to provide comprehensive care to healthy patients, as well as children with complex medical problems. In addition, our dentists have easy access to communication with physicians in virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery, facilitating the transfer of information and improving the care of our patients.

Our Services

The Mass General Dental Group specializes in the latest dental care techniques for general pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, implant-supported prostheses, cosmetic procedures, root canal therapy and crowns. Our pediatric dentists provide routine outpatient dental care, as well as dental rehabilitative care in an operating room for those children who cannot receive dental care in an office setting. Our orthodontic staff works closely with our pediatric and restorative dentists to provide conventional and Invisalign orthodontic treatment. In addition, as a division of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, we collaborate closely with oral surgeons in providing comprehensive care to children who need jaw or facial surgery. Our orthodontic staff has extensive experience in cleft lip/palate and craniofacial deformities.

Family-Centered Care

Our facilities are child-friendly and our staff is trained to make the dental experience of children and their families as pleasant as possible. We work hard to care for our patients with the most sympathetic, warm and gentle support possible.
