10-2-1-0: Healthy Goals for STAR Kids
STAR is a collaboration between Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates (HVMA) and the Department of Population Medicine (DPM) at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. STAR is led by Principal Investigator Dr. Elsie Taveras and HVMA Principal Investigator Dr. Richard Marshall.
- We use computerized decision support tools in the electronic health record (EHR) delivered to primary care providers at the point of care to increase adoption of evidence-based strategies for the management of obesity in children.
- We also provide direct-to-parent support, including telephone coaching and twice-weekly interactive text messages to enhance the clinical efforts.
