Talking with Children About Immigration and Xenophobia

In this presentation from April 11, 2022, Fiona Danaher, MD, MPH, a pediatrician in Pediatric Primary Care at MGfC, and Rashmi Jasrasaria, MD, an attending physician in Internal Medicine at Mass General, discuss the demographics of children in immigrant families, the health effects associated with stressors related to immigration and the rights of children in immigrant families to access health care, education and other resources. They will also share tips on how to address xenophobia (the dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries) with children.
