Karen Flanders is a family NP whose clinical focus is on the care of metabolic and bariatric surgery patients. She helps to provide care to patients affected by obesity both preoperatively and postoperatively in our Mass General Weight Center. She provides preop education to our patients teaching our surgery school. Additionally, she evaluates new patients, provides preoperative preparation for surgery, as well follows patients postoperatively after metabolic and bariatric surgery. She received her BSN and MSN from the University of New Hampshire.
