Leah (Hurley) Ahern is a Registered Dietitian at the Massachusetts General Hospital Weight Center. She works as part of the multidisciplinary-care team providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, childhood through adolescence. She is interested in lifestyle, pharmacological or surgical interventions for weight management. She has worked in a variety of bariatric and weight management settings throughout the New England region, from leading childhood nutrition education groups to providing nutrition support recommendations for hospitalized patients after bariatric surgery.

Leah obtained her master's degree from the University of Rhode Island where her research focused on nutrient and drug interactions. She is an active member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Weight Management Dietary Practice Group.
