About Michael Parsons, PhD
Michael W. Parsons, PhD joined the Pappas Neuro-Oncology Center and Department of Psychiatry in 2017. He has 20 years of experience as a neuropsychologist and has specialized in the area of cancer and cognition for the past 10 years. He provides neuropsychological evaluations for adults with cancer, addressing the cognitive issues that are caused by cancer and its treatment. These evaluations assist in diagnosis and treatment of medical and psychological conditions that affect brain function. His research involves the use of cognitive assessments and advanced brain imaging techniques to study the brain. These studies seek to understand cancer affects neural systems and the efficacy of treatment for these problems. Dr. Parsons is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology and the American Board of Professional Psychology.
