Who We Are
Each year, the Mass General Department of Pharmacy recruits the top candidates from schools of pharmacy around the country for the Pharmacy Residency Programs. Our residents come from across the United States and bring a variety of perspectives and training to the department and institution. As do our clinical and administrative pharmacy preceptors, who are specialty trained and experts in their chosen field. All our staff are dedicated to the continual growth and development of our residents and programs.

Life in Boston

As a Mass General resident, you will get to experience the many riches that Boston has to offer. You’ll quicky be able to immerse yourself it its historic charm, lush parks, and plentiful activities beyond pharmacy practice.
Nestled in the iconic Beacon Hill district, the Mass General campus is surrounded by beautiful brownstone architecture and charming brick pathways. Here, your pharmacy education will converge with community, allowing you to contribute to Boston's growing healthcare narrative.
Nearby is the historic Charles Street, which hosts many boutiques and culinary gems. The Charles River Esplanade offers a peaceful escape from the busy city, while Newbury Street is the place to be for luxury shopping and additional exceptional sights and landmarks.
History enthusiasts will relish the Freedom Trail, guiding you through early chapters of America. Explore the Boston Massacre site, Faneuil Hall, Paul The Old North Church, and more—all testaments to Boston's role in shaping the nation.
Across the Charles River is Cambridge, an intellectual hub housing Harvard University and MIT. These institutions inspire innovation and have partnered with MGH in the past to push the boundaries of healthcare education and technology.

Our residents participate in a variety of activities together outside of the hospital, including intramural sports leagues, community service events, and more!

PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residents
Cassidy Cox
Dr. Cassidy Cox is from Raleigh, North Carolina. She was inspired to pursue a career as a pharmacist by her grandmother, grandfather, and father, who were all practicing pharmacists in the Boston area. She completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at NC State University in 2020. Her practice interests include critical care, emergency medicine, and cardiology. After PGY-1, she plans to pursue a PGY2 in critical care. Outside of residency, she enjoys running, traveling, and cheering on Boston sports teams, particularly Bruins hockey.
Valerie Nguyen
Dr. Valerie Nguyen is from Chicago, IL. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. She is currently completing her PGY1 at Massachusetts General Hospital as part of a PGY1/2 Health Systems Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency while concurrently completing a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Pharmacy Administration from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys taking dance classes, cooking, and movie nights with her cat, Mooncake.
Cate Murphy
Dr. Cate Murphy is from Lawrence, KS. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her practice interests include hematology/oncology, opportunistic infections, and ambulatory care. Upon completion of the PGY-1 year, she plans to pursue a PGY-2 in oncology. In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing instruments, and exploring different coffee shops in Boston.
Sarina Panagiotopoulos
Dr. Sarina Panagiotopoulos is from Hopkinton, MA. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at Northeastern University School of Pharmacy in Boston. Her practice interests include solid organ transplant an ambulatory care. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Panagiotopoulos plans to pursue a PGY2 in solid organ transplant after completion of the residency year.
Jasmine Ramirez
Dr. Jasmine Ramirez is from Brooklyn, NY. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her practice interests include infectious diseases, psychiatry, and ambulatory care. After completing PGY-1 residency, Jasmine plans to pursue PGY-2 training in infectious diseases. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with her cat Ravioli.
Kayla Bey
Dr. Kayla Bey is from North Providence, RI. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her practice interests include critical care and emergency medicine. Following completion of the PGY-1 year, Kayla plans to pursue a PGY-2 in critical care. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys attending concerts, travelling, and trying new foods.
Elise Hildebrandt
Dr. Elise Hildebrandt is from West Simsbury, CT. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Clemson University and her PharmD from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Her practice interests include hematology/oncology, cardiology and emergency medicine. After completing her PGY1 year, she plans to pursue a PGY2 in oncology. In her free time, she enjoys running, cheering on Clemson football and Carolina basketball, and traveling with friends and family.
Gi Eun (Jemma) Han
Dr. Gi Eun (Jemma) Han is from Seoul, South Korea. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her practice interests include emergency medicine, critical care, and cardiology. After completing her PGY1 year, she plans to pursue a PGY2 in emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, singing karaoke, and cheering on the Red Sox.
PGY-2 Pharmacy Practice Residents
Allison Bicker
Dr. Allison Bicker is from Troy, MO. She obtained her B.S. in Pharmacy Studies and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University School of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY-1 residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and is the current PGY-2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership resident. After she finishes her residency, she hopes to practice as a pharmacy manager with a focus on inpatient operations or ambulatory infusion. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys long walks around Boston, playing tennis and mahjong, and watching movies.
Anna Piech
Dr. Anna Piech is from Mokena, IL. She obtained her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and PharmD from Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy (War Eagle!!). She completed her PGY-1 residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and is the current PGY-2 cardiology resident. After she finishes her residency, she hopes to practice as a cardiology critical care pharmacist. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys watching movies, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
Carolyn Ross
Dr. Carolyn Ross is from Rockville Centre, NY. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her practice interests include oncology, ambulatory care, academia, and medication safety. Outside of pharmacy, Carolyn enjoys reading, sailing, and exploring Boston.
Ebo Ikheloa
Dr. Ebo Ikheloa is from Benin City, Nigeria. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019 and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Novant Health in Winston Salem, NC. She went on to practice as a clinical pharmacist at Emory Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta, GA, before joining Massachusetts General Hospital as a PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Resident.
Her practice interests include hematologic malignancies, oncology, and supportive care. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys cooking, staying active, and exploring travel destinations and new cities.
Gabrielle Jones
Dr. Gabrielle Jones is from Long Island, NY and is currenly completing her PGY-2 in Emergency Medicine. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy in Nashville, TN and her PGY-1 residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. Her practice interests include cardiovascular emergencies, simulation, and academia. Upon completion of PGY-2, she hopes to practice as an emergency medicine pharmacy specialist. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and walking her dog, Luna Bug.
Morgan Crawford
Dr. Morgan Crawford is from Canton, OH. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and Master’s of Translation Pharmacology and Toxicology Degree from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY-1 residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and is currently the PGY-2 critical care pharmacy resident. Her practice interests includes SICU/TICU and neurology. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, visiting national parks, and trying new local coffee shops.
Jen Giulietti
Dr. Jen Giulietti is from Wallingford, CT. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Providence College, Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University, and completed PGY-1 training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her practice interests include neurologic emergencies, hematologic disorders (anticoagulation management and reversals), and mass casualty/disaster preparedness. In her free time, she enjoys running, spin, and spending time with her family and cat Mochi. Following completion of her residency, Jen plans to pursue board certification (BCEMP) with the goal to be an emergency medicine pharmacist specialist at an academic medical center.
Mei Li
Dr. Mei Li is from New York, NY. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from the Binghamton School of Pharmacy and Pharmacuetical Sciences. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and is the current PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident. Her practice interest includes immunocompromised ID, antifungals, and gram negative resistance. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time and eating out with friends and family.
