About Hayley Forbes, MSW, LICSW
Hayley (she/her) earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University in 2019 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire, where she graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Social Work Honor Society.
She joins Massachusetts General Hospital as a Clinical Social Worker with the Inpatient Palliative Care Service. Her primary role is on the Supportive Care Unit (SCU), with additional time spent on the Consult Service.
Previously, Hayley worked at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, where she began her professional career after completing her MSW. From 2019 to 2025, she worked as a Clinical Social Worker and was later promoted to Senior Clinical Social Worker. Throughout her time there, she provided psychosocial assessments and supportive interventions across medicine, surgery, and the ICU.
Hayley’s clinical interests include serious illness communication, ethical decision-making, and education, with a focus on both lifelong learning and teaching.
