About Kelsey Anderson, MSW, LICSW
Kelsey Anderson, MSW, LICSW (she/they) is a clinical social worker with the inpatient Palliative Care team, supporting both the consult service and the Supportive Care Unit. She joined the Division of Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine in October 2019, and until September 2023 served in an outpatient role with the Mass General Brigham Mind and Memory Care Program and the MGH Dementia Care Collaborative.
Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her Master of Social Work from the Boston College School of Social Work, where she specialized in clinical practice with older adults and families. While at Boston College, she completed internships at Commonwealth Care Alliance and the Alzheimer's Association. She was also a John A. Hartford Foundation Partnership Program in Aging Education Fellow. Before pursuing her career in social work, Kelsey worked as a user experience (UX) designer in healthcare technology developing software products to improve the delivery of care.
In addition to her clinical work, Kelsey also serves as a course planner for the Harvard Medical School Center for Palliative Care Foundations in Palliative Care course and the Division's Professional Development Learning Series. Her interests include serious illness communication and dementia caregiver support and education.
