About Theresa Evans, MSN, APRN, ACHPN

Theresa is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and is also board-certified in hospice and palliative care. She is a graduate of University of New Hampshire and University of Massachusetts.

Theresa has worked at MGH/MGB since 1998 in a number of roles, including Staff Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Practitioner. She completed fellowship in Biomedical Ethics from Harvard in 2003-04. She joined the Massachusetts General Hospital Division of Palliative Care & Geriatric Medicine, first inpatient and then clinic, including Danvers Clinic. Theresa enjoys incorporating her clinical knowledge with her passion for teaching. She currently teaches Ethics at MGH IHP, as well as playing a role as clinical oversight instructor in BNS immersion course, which she has done since 2006. Recently, Theresa has expanded her clinical teaching to Regis School of Nursing.

Theresa has a has particular interest in the care of patients with cancer who require co-management with substance use history. She has found tremendous joy in the outpatient setting and exploring the concept of true survivorship.
