Earlier this year, MGH staff were informed that the administration of employee health plans would move from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts to Neighborhood Health Plan (NHP) at the start of next year. This week, Partners HealthCare announced that NHP is rebranding and changing its name to AllWays Health Partners.
What does this mean to MGH staff?
No impact on benefits: The name change will not impact the physician network, coverage, benefits, cost or any other aspect of the 2019 health plans.
Name change: The NHP name will be visible through the open enrollment period until the change to AllWays Health Partners is official on Jan. 1, 2019. However, some HR communications in the fall and early winter also will reference the new name.
Insurance card changes: The 2019 insurance card, which will be mailed to employees’ homes in December, will feature the AllWays Health Partners name.
