Financial Clearance Manager Department of Radiology and Imaging
I was inspired to get into health care by my mother. She started her health care career as a secretary and moved to information technology (IT). I knew from a young age I wanted to be in a hospital setting, particularly after spending time after school waiting for my mom to finish her work day. There was something about the culture that drew me in.
I was exposed to both clinical and administrative roles and loved every minute of it. My first real job was in an OB/GYN office filing medical records and performing simple administrative tasks. When I started college, I initially wanted to be on the clinical side of health care but later found out that clinicals are not my cup of tea. I received my master’s in health care management to gain the foundation to change industries and I have never been happier.
