Kaissa Oulhadj Phlebotomist in the Diabetes Clinic
I was born and raised in North Africa, and always wanted to be a nurse like my mother. It was hard to go into this field in my home country because there weren’t many opportunities. Five years ago, I am very happy I got a chance to come to the United States and make my dreams come true. Being here with patients and being able to give them my support and help, makes me smile.
I feel lucky because I make a difference with my patients on a daily basis. My big inspiration is my mother. She is now a retired nurse in North Africa. People still remember how caring and lovable she was, and I want that to be me in the future.
