My journey with Mass General continues.

I started with a visit to the Mass General Hand clinic in 2014 after a failed Carpal tunnel release at another facility. Dr. Jupiter performed a repair allowing the feeling to return to my right hand. As a competitive shooter, this was very important to me.

With the success I experienced with Dr. Jupiter, I decided to continue repair to a problem ankle.

After years of pain from arthritis in my ankle, I chose to see Dr. DiGiovanni in Foot & Ankle. We discussed options and decided with my activity level and hobby, that ankle fusion was the best course of action. The repair recovery was lengthy, so during that time I also had a repair of spinal stenosis with Dr. Coumons.

Most recently, I have had a knee replacement with Dr. Bedair. In March 2018, I am four weeks post-op with the replacement and doing well.

The staff at Mass General Hospital have been supportive and have given me the best care during these times.

During these procedures, we have been blessed with our first grandchild. His name is Mason. The orthopedic repairs I have had will now allow me to walk with and spend quality time with Mason. He is soon to have a cousin, so being able to play and walk with grands is a blessing that is made easier by my time at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mass General is a long ride from Harwich, and I pass three hospitals to get there. It is worth the trip for the level of care.
