About Ramy Elshaboury, PharmD, BCPS-AQ ID

Ramy Elshaboury, PharmD, BCPS-AQ ID, is the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Elshaboury provides leadership and oversight for inpatient and outpatient clinical pharmacy services, along with the various pharmacy residency programs, focusing on efficient, timely and optimal pharmaceutical care. He serves as the Residency Program Director for the PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Elshaboury held the positions of Clinical Pharmacy Manager – Medicine/Surgery/Infectious Diseases service lines and Clinical Coordinator in Infectious Diseases during his tenure at Mass General. Prior to joining in 2015, he practiced Infectious Diseases Pharmacy in the Midwest before relocating to the Boston area. Dr. Elshaboury is a recognized clinical pharmacist and educator who has won numerous practice and teaching awards. 

Dr. Elshaboury earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. He completed PGY-1 Pharmacy and PGY-2 Infectious Diseases residency training at Abbott Northwestern Hospital (part of Allina Health) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
