On-call Physician Coverage
We provide on-call physician coverage for all of our existing patients, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please call 617-394-7500 to reach the on-call physician after hours. Patients with medical emergencies should call 911.
Urgent Care Appointments
We make every effort to see our patients when they have an unexpected illness or injury. We reserve a limited number of appointments each day for our existing patients who need to be seen on the same day. Current patients may call 617-394-7500 to request an appointment. Your call will be evaluated by a nurse to determine the best course of appropriate care. Please do not use Mass General Brigham Patient Gateway for an urgent care, same day request.
Nutrition Services
We provide a range of programs that address the special nutrition needs associated with conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases (including hypertension and high cholesterol), and gastrointestinal disorders. We also provide counseling and education for adult and pediatric weight management.
Smoking Cessation Services
MGH Community Health Associates’ Living Tobacco-Free program helps people quit cigarettes and other forms of tobacco. Trained coaches work one-on-one with people who are thinking about quitting tobacco to help them create an individualized plan for quitting. Coaches coordinate with a person’s medical providers and will make referrals to other helpful resources. Living Tobacco-Free services are free to everyone, without any co-pay. Contact us to schedule an appointment at 617-394-7500.
Substance Abuse Recovery Services
Our substance abuse recovery coach provides peer support for those that deal with addiction. Patients are supported while they are in treatment and provided with family support and resources. This helps to bridge the gap between a patient and the medical team.
Laboratory and Test Results
We offer an on-site laboratory and perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) for our patients. Our lab hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am-7:00 pm and Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm. When a physician orders tests, our patients can walk in without an appointment during the hours listed. Results are typically available within 48 hours through Mass General Brigham Patient Gateway or by mail within two weeks.
Prescription Refills
To refill prescriptions during regular office hours, call our Prescription Line at 617-394-7570 or submit your request through Mass General Brigham Patient Gateway. Please be sure to leave a clear message with your name, date of birth, the name of your provider, name of medication, the dosage and the telephone number of the pharmacy you would like to use. Please be sure to leave a call back number should we need to contact you. Most prescription renewals will be filled within two business days. Please note that requests received after noon on Friday will not be filled until the next business day. Please plan ahead so prescriptions will be ready when they are needed.
