The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital includes a team of Harvard-affiliated surgeons and Magnet-award winning nurses. This team is highly skilled in providing comprehensive cosmetic services and reconstructive procedures as well as safe and successful outcomes.

Our division has been performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for nearly 40 years, hosting a number of clinical milestones including the world’s first microsurgical elective hand transfer and New England’s first TRAM-flap breast reconstruction.

The Mass General Plastic Surgery Research Laboratory
Our doctors are constantly working to improve patient safety and develop sophisticated new surgical products and techniques. The Mass General Plastic Surgery Research Laboratory conducts an intensive, collaborative research program aimed at reshaping the landscape of surgical care.

- Craniofacial reconstruction

Educating the Next Generation of Plastic Surgeons
Mass General offers one of the country's most competitive plastic surgery residency programs. The Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Residency Training Program, a unique and valuable training opportunity, allows participants to rotate through five of Boston's top teaching hospitals.
