Completed new hires forms are essential to getting you added to our payroll. See the necessary documents below.

Verification Form (I-9)

This step is required of all new employees, including those transferring to Mass General from another Mass General Brigham affiliate. If you are transferring from Bulfinch Temporary Service you are exempt from this task.

Original, unexpired identification and documentation for Employment Eligibility Verification must be presented to Human Resources within three days of hire. Review the instructions sent to you via email prior to your start date from HireRight Customer Support.

Mass General participates in the federal government's E-Verify program. E-Verify is an Internet-based system that uses information and proof of identity documentation gathered on the I-9 form to check an individual’s eligibility to work in the U.S. For more information on federal E-Verify requirements, please go to the USCIS website.

Social Security Card

Federal law requires that you show your Social Security card to Human Resources (HR). An HR representative will verify that your name and number in our Human Resources Information System appear exactly as they do on your Social Security card. Instructions for showing your Social Security card will be sent to you via email prior to your start date from HireRight Customer Support.

If you need to replace a lost Social Security card, you may request a replacement online or call any Social Security office for assistance. Find a Social Security Administration office near you.

Newly arrived to the United States: Please apply for a Social Security card as soon as possible. Once you have received your Social Security card in the mail, contact Human Resources at MGHNewHires@partners.org for further instructions. In the meantime, please complete the I-9 form by selecting that you “do not have a Social Security number” and this info will be updated when received.
