Orthopedic Academy: Musculoskeletal (MSK) Imaging Series
This monthly education series is designed to enhance understanding of MSK radiographic
techniques, interpretation of findings and how to integrate these findings into clinical
practice to improve patient care and outcomes.
85% of patients seen in primary/urgent care report musculoskeletal (MSK) problems. Many providers have reported the need for more MSK knowledge. As a result, Anne Fiore, DNP, CNP (Director, Orthopedic Academy), developed a year-long CE program to enhance understanding of MSK radiographic imaging and procedures, accuracy and appropriateness of ordering, interpretation of findings and how to integrate the findings into clinical practice to improve patient care and outcomes.
This monthly CE series is brought to you by Mass General Brigham Orthopedic Academy and sponsored by the Norman Knight Center. The series is organized by anatomical site (e.g., knee, hip, shoulder, spine) and includes various MSK conditions, fractures, infection and MSK procedures (review of aspiration, biopsy, ultrasound, ablation).
At the end of Dr. Husseini's presentation, participants will be able to:
Understand radiographic imaging techniques and application in evaluating bone lesions
Recognize and differentiate between various types of bone lesions, including benign and malignant conditions, through radiographic images
Develop skills to accurately order and interpret radiographic findings, including identifying key features and patterns associated with different bone lesions
