Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Participates in Research Trainee Program with an Eye Towards Diversity

Mass General Brigham's Center for Academic Development and Enrichment organizes an annual Summer Research Trainee Program (SRTP) meant to encourage students from minorities that are underrepresented in medicine to pursue careers in medical research. Each summer, doctors from Mass General’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery volunteer to host students who will participate in some of their most exciting and innovative research projects. Mass General’s digital research publication, Advances in Motion, recently discussed the program with Department Vice Chair Young-Min Kwon, MD, PhD.
