About Ashley Wiater, PT, DPT

Dr. Wiater received her Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation Science from Northeastern University. She furthered her education at Northeastern University, by completing her graduate studies to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. Ashley's passion for orthopedics and sports medicine stems from playing competitive athletics since a young age, and rehabilitating from her own sports related injuries.

Ashley grew up competing at the National level in Women's Ice Hockey and was selected to attend the United States Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY for high level training. Originally from Philadelphia, she was recruited to the Boston area by Northeastern University for hockey. Ashley currently is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, attending local special interest group meetings and national conferences. She attained Board Certification, as a Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2018. Clinical interests include rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction and manual therapy.
