About Juliana Ison

Juliana completed her BA in psychology and Spanish at the University of Notre Dame in the spring of 2019. She has a general background in developmental psychology and psychopathology, as well as implementation science.

Her major research interests include developmental psychopathology and trauma, mental health equity, the focused inclusion of underrepresented communities, especially Spanish-speaking Latinx communities, in clinical research and practice, and psychosocial factors and stigma. She is fundamentally interested in implementing applied psychological research within historically marginalized communities to help bridge the gap between ameliorative scientific investigation and practical implementation.

Hence, after completing a departmental honors thesis during undergraduate studies, Juliana moved to Boston to further her passion for representation-based research, and is excited to be a member of the CARE team.
