Center for Transplantation Sciences
The mission of the CTS at Massachusetts General Hospital is to understand and apply the basic immunologic mechanisms of immune tolerance to recipients of organ and/or bone marrow transplants, and to address the organ shortage through xenotransplantation and organ bioengineering.
We conduct critical research to increase the success rates of transplantation and meet the growing demand for organ and bone marrow transplantation.
Education & Training
We offer opportunities to participate in leading research on organ and bone marrow transplantation.
Faculty & Staff
Our faculty and staff collaborate to conduct innovative research on organ and bone marrow transplantation.
When you support the CTS, you support innovative research on organ and bone marrow transplantation.
The Mass General Transplant Center
is a destination for those requiring transplant, and is the only center in the region to offer adult transplantation for every organ.
A Multidisciplinary Approach
The CTS has a faculty and staff of approximately 80 persons, comprising 18 scientific groups.
Give the Gift of Life
Live donation allows patients to receive a transplant without waiting for an organ from a deceased donor.
The Center for Transplantation Sciences (CTS) is a multidisciplinary research center working at the interface between basic and clinical science.
