Interested in working with children on the autism spectrum? We are hiring! Aspire Adventure Summer Camp has Summer 2023 positions available. Our campers range in age from 5 to 13 and may have diagnoses of Asperger's syndrome, high functioning autism, ADHD, PDD-NOS and non-verbal learning disabilities; however, not all Aspire participants have a formal diagnosis.
Aspire Adventure Summer Camp is located on a small part of Hale Education in Westwood, MA. Staff can expect to spend time outdoors engaging with children in fun activities that support each child’s personal growth in the areas of social competency, self-awareness, and stress management.
We offer competitive pay, including 40 hours of paid training relevant to serving our campers, as well as ongoing paid professional development throughout the summer. Aspire staff are dedicated to supporting your professional growth. You will have day to day access to supervisory staff who can provide support and feedback to help you reach your goals.
No experience required; applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s level program or hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone working toward or considering working toward a degree in special education, social work, speech and language pathology, occupational therapy, applied behavior analysis, or psychology. This is also a great summer job for anyone already in these fields who is looking for a fun way to spend their summer while strengthening their skills and raising their experience level in working with this population.
