Educational Activities in Putrajaya, Malaysia

A number of educational activities were held at the National Cancer Institute in Putrajaya, Malaysia from November 6 to 10, 2017, including a training course by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Dose Optimization-Analysis and Interpretation of Patient Dose Data in which there were participants from Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vanuatu and Yemen. Other events were: 1) a joint workshop of the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP), the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA), the World Health Organization (WHO) and IAEA; 2) a celebration of the International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) on November 7; and 3) a celebration of the International Day of Radiology (IDOR) on November 8. Dr. Rehani participated in all events and made several presentations as an expert of the IAEA and representative of IOMP.
