About Mandakolathur Murali, MD

Biography

Dr. Murali provides pathology diagnostic and consulting services to several related subspecialties across Mass General. In addition, he is a practicing physician with Allergy Associates, which comprises allergy and clinical immunology, and is a faculty member of the Mass General Brigham Asthma Center.

As medical director of the Pathology Immunology Laboratory, Dr. Murali is responsible for clinical diagnosis sign-out in serum, urine, CSF electrophoresis, immunoelectrophoresis and immunofixation in diagnoses, and follow-up of immune diseases and monoclonal and polyclonal diseases. He is also responsible for evaluations of cryoglobulins and complement deficiency diseases. Dr. Murali reports on ANA's, anti-DNA's and joint fluid analyses.

Dr. Murali is an Assistant Pathologist and the Director of Clinical Immunology Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Research

Study of free light chains and evolution of monoclonal bands in serum of patients with myeloma consequent to marrow transplantation.
