Adolescent Foot Program

The Orthopedic Center’s Adolescent and Young Adult Foot Program is a unique collaboration between Mass General's pediatric orthopedic surgeons and adult foot & ankle surgeons that:

• Specializes in caring for adolescents and young adults with foot problems
• Bridges care of complex foot problems from childhood to adulthood

Conditions we treat:

• Pes Planus (painful flat feet)
• Tarsal Coalition
• Hallux Valgus (bunions)
• Clubfeet
• Pes Cavus (high arches)
• Foot and ankle injuries (fractures, ligamentous injuries) and long term secondary results of injuries
• Complex foot and ankle deformities that are congenital or acquired

• Clinical consultation with appropriate diagnostic imaging and evaluation
• Orthotics and footwear consultation
• Surgery
  • Foot and ankle arthroscopy
  • Deformity correction using foot osteotomies, tendon transfer, soft tissue releases, external fixation correction
