The Midwifery Service is a vital part of the Obstetrics Program at Mass General.
Nurse-midwives at Mass General provide family planning and contraception services, and prenatal, labor and delivery and postpartum care for those patients who are considered to have low- or moderate-risk pregnancies. To make an appointment with the Midwifery Service, contact the Obstetrics Program and request an appointment with a midwife.

Autumn Cohen, CNM, WHNP, MSN, is a staff nurse-midwife in the Midwifery Division in the Department of OB/GYN at Mass General. Her clinical interest are in breastfeeding and lactation support. She is advocate for accessing doula care and caring for women who experience miscarriage. She sees patients in the Obstetrics office on Yawkey and our inpatient units. She speaks conversational Spanish, French and Bambara. Autumn completed her midwifery education at the University of Pennsylvania.
