We hope that the information on the Healey Center for ALS website will increase understanding of what ALS is, how it is diagnosed, what research we and others are doing to understand ALS and develop better treatments, and how we address the important issues related to the disease. We want to provide critical and up to date information that will enable you to maintain control over the issues that might affect your life and to have a greater understanding of approaches to ALS’s medical management and options for new treatments.
Our ALS Multidisciplinary Team offers expertise in this rare disease to patients, families, and other medical professionals. Our clinic is supported by the Muscular Dystrophy Association and through the generous support of individual contributions to our Mass General ALS Fund, which focuses on patient care improvements and acceleration of research to cure ALS.
